Junior League of Alexandria – Merry Market donation winner – Jessa & Debbie Young
Every year the Alexandria Junior League hosts their annual Merry Market. All proceeds raised from the market are used in our community. But, the preview party held Thursday night before the market opens on Friday, is for the die-hard shoppers who want to PRE-VIEW everything before the market opens. During the preview party a lot of awesome items and services are donated from local businesses and professionals. It can get pretty rough with folks stalking their auction item of preference. I’ve been there on both sides folks…It gets crazy. I’ve also been a member of the Alexandria Junior League for over 10 years, and currently I’m a sustainer. This year I donated a portrait session and a piece of wall art-such as an archival mounted image, giclee print, or canvas portrait from our studio. Debbie and her daughter Jessa won the donated item this year. I was so excited that they won, because they are previous clients of mine. I photographed Jessa and her cousin a couple years ago. Plus, it is great to catch up and see the beautiful young lady Jessa’s become. Well, when Debbie told me that she wanted a portrait with Millie and Jessa, I couldn’t have been more excited! Millie is Jessa’s dear little kitty cat! She is so precious. Anyone who knows me, knows I love pets, but I especially love kitty cats. Yes, my husband actually did marry a “Crazy Cat Lady”. I had three when we met. Back to Millie and Jessa. We were introduced briefly to Princess (Millie) in her adorable pink fluffy carrier (I can’t believe I didn’t get a picture of it!). She was a little nervous and bothered by our persistence, but she hung in there and performed like a true model. We had a successful session with Millie and Jessa. I’ve posted some of the adorable pictures of this sweet Millie kitty cat, and Jessa of course too.
