Fall is here and time for family portraits

I have enjoyed photographing this sweet family over the past few years.  This year they have a new addition to the family portrait!  Welcome Owen!  Thanks again for choosing Susan Stevison Photography as your family photographer Andrea and David!  I look forward to photographing you all again.

Generations of the Alletags

I’ve had a great time w/ some of my projects for Tammie this year, and her family portrait has been a lot of fun also. It’s not easy getting 40 people to all smile, keep thier eyes open and posed and the same second!  But, with very little difficulty I was able to pull it…

Richard and Sheila Earl & family

It was a pleasure to photograph Mr. and Mrs. Earl and their children and grandchildren the other day.  I was able to photograph the whole family among the beautiful Oak tress on their property outside of Oakdale and Elizabeth, Louisiana.  Their family farm was a beautiful backdrop for the family portrait session.  Thank you Sherry…

Judah’s Light, Nonnie’s Hope

I had the pleasure photographing a friend for a commercial assignment.  She told me, one day she was in her home and became concerned about the clutter from her light cords. She took it upon herself to dissect the light and create a clutter free retractable light cord. With her new invention she fine tuned the design and later…

Colin Lang

I photographed Colin’s sister Sam Lang a few years ago for her senior portraits and this year I was able to photograph Colin!  A fun and interesting session, where we were able to combine his recreational activities and school activities into his senior portraits.  We were able to get some fun images inside the studio and…

Rachel Goff-McKay

Rachel and Steven are living in honeymoon bliss as I post on the blog.  It’s been a little busy around here with the high school senior portraits taking place.  But, I wanted to at least post a few of Rachel’s bridal portraits from her bridal portrait session.  We were able to squeeze in a bridal…

Refurbishing family pictures

I get calls all the time, asking if I refurbish or repair old torn, faded, or discolored pictures?  I LOVE to do this refurbishing when I have the time. What a treat to be able to bring the specific time and person back to memory…as sense of life.  One of the reasons I was drawn to…

Sisters: Allie and Taylor

Twin sisters, Allie and Taylor are absolutely adorable! These two sisters are so unique in their individual ways.  They stand out though compliment each other. Their senior session began downtown in Alexandria.  We were able to trek through the downtown streets of central Louisiana.  I captured some sweet images of the two sisters together and…

Kallie & Ethan

I met Kallie and Ethan a couple months ago. They are high school seniors from Marksville. These two may be twins, but they are different in so many ways. I had a great time photographing them. After brainstorming with Ethan, prior to the portrait session we decided that we could incorporate his deer mount into the…

The jolly man was in our house

Saturday the 5th of December we held our annual Portraits with Santa at Susan Stevison Photography in Pineville, LA.  This year we had Santa for one day only.  It was a full house!  Thanks to my assistant Patricia Upton and two of her children helping at the studio.  Thank you Michael Thomas and Mary Claire….
